Where do they come from?

While the debate about which wine is the best wine in the world continues year after year, you will find that the contenders for such a title actually come from places that you know produce really good wines. Some of the more familiar places that are considered to be the best wine producing countries in the world include Napa Valley California, Tuscany Italy, Priorat Spain and Mendoza Argentina. These regions offer people lovely wines that can easily be considered some of the best wines in the world and this is often due to the conditions that these places present for grape growing.

The winner is

While these places all have wonderful wines that can easily contend for the title of best wine in the world, there is actually one country that can easily produce a wine that can claim this title due to the sheer number of the world-class quality vineyards found there. This country is France. France has quite a huge number of regions that produce some of the most popular wines around and these include Alsace, Châteauneuf-du-Pâpe, Bordeaux and Burgundy and each one can easily produce what can be called the best wine in the world.

But no the only ones

Other more popular places in France like the Loire Valley and Champagne are found in what is called the Kimmeridgian. This is a ridge where it is said that all the best vineyards in France, and probably even in the world, is located. The vineyards that are found on this ridge, and the wines that are produced from these vineyards, have been widely known for a number of centuries now and this is because of the quality of the wines that are produced here. These wines turn out to be the best in the world due to the grapes that are grown in the unique soil that is found here and try as other countries may to duplicate this soil, they never could.
